Vartian Carpets are a statement of beauty, elegance, and design. Each carpet is crafted from the finest materials: only pure silk and hand-spun Tibetan highland wool are used. Free from synthetic fibers, industrial processes, and adhesives, my carpets retain their authentic and superior quality. This ensures exceptional durability.
The carpets are hand-knotted in Nepal using traditional craftsmanship – every single knot is meticulously tied by master artisans. This results in a masterpiece that is visually unique and, from the very first touch, conveys a distinctive sensory experience. Sustainability and Responsibility
The world of carpets has evolved since Vartian Carpets was founded in Vienna a century ago. What has remained is the art of carpet weaving. However, new challenges have emerged: environmental protection, ethical principles, and a heightened awareness of social responsibility require a careful and sustainable approach.
Over the years, I have successfully built strong partnerships with Tibetan producers in Nepal and established production sites that promote traditional Tibetan weaving while meeting the highest standards of sustainability and responsibility.
